FAT ALBERT STAGES
 (United States)

So there's a few Tavern Crews on the Entry list but not all of the "usuals".....

What we do need is as many people as possible to help build the course on the Friday and clear down Saturday evening / Sunday Morning... This year we have agreements in place so that we have complete access to teh entire Air field from early evening meaning that we should be able to finish early enough to allow plenty of time for a beer/lemonade or two in the pub.

We'll be metting on the Friday from 9:30 onwards and any help throughout the day will be much appreciated ... contact Me (Nick) on 07790 490027 or nick.eccles@eds.com for more info.

So who will be coming out to play .... discuss......

Re: FAT ALBERT STAGES

Denise and I as always.  I bet we are late turning up - as always.  Sorry in advance it is usually my fault.

Nick, perhaps you should put the same note on the Fat Albert website forum to encourage any competitors or others to come and help.

Re: FAT ALBERT STAGES

I'll be there to help on the friday - I've already booked the day off work! Just hoping that the car will be all ready and on the trailer by Thursday evening so I don't have to do it at the last minute!

Can't help this Saturday though as will be working 7am to 3pm.

Re: FAT ALBERT STAGES

That's great, thanks in your advance, for your help.

As a token of the organising team's appreciation, all those that help set up on the Friday will receive a complimentary Fat Alvert Stages Baseball cap .... extremley useful to keep that famous FAS Sun of your heads or the not so popular (on the Friday anyway) rain....

The only condition is that they are not worn back to front !!!!

Re: FAT ALBERT STAGES

Times yet to be confirmed but I intend to make an early strat as the trick with tarmacing like most things is good preparation.  theer is some grassy bits to be scrapped/dug out and a lot of sweeping to clear the areas of dust and loose bits.

I woudl gues an 08:00 or 08:30 start and plan to have the tarmac arrive at about 10:30 if possible.

I will confirfm all this as soon as the final arrangements are made.

Thanks for the offer Stave but we have enough people now.  I did not realise that the contractor will be bringing his two sons and if we play it right they will do most of the work

Re: FAT ALBERT STAGES

I am actually ahead of myself for once.  The Mondeo is already packed to the roof with table and chairs, tent, gazebo, new control boards, tools etc etc.  It is ready to go on Friday morning.

Tomorrow we pack all of Denises paperwork, the computer, changes of clothes and all that sort of stuff.

Friday and it will only be the bike and tent poles (for the new TMC tent) on the trailer and we will be away.

We may actually be at Keevil on time for the first time on a Friday since the event started in 1998.

See you all on Friday.

Packing is today's job before heading over to Rons about 4:30 to load the vans and bring the trailer of cones back home with me ready for the 7 am start tomorrow to meet Jeremy at 8 at Keevil....

I've made my lists of what needs taking or finishing today...

I'm ready and want to get on with it now!!!!!

Hopefully see lots of other "Taverners" on Friday.......

Re: FAT ALBERT STAGES

Well done to Rory and Shaun, who after their first finish together recently at Colerne, both won their first award at a rally.

Also well done to Julian/Penny, and Martin/Georgina who helped Tavern to dominate Class A. Is this the first time a motor club has taken a whole class?
