I see there are eight Tavern crews entered including myself and new Tavern member Tony Voisey in the trusty Astra. Average stage length has been increased to around 10 miles now so that looks good.
I'm told it is a very fast event so not expecting to be too high up in the running but who knows..... We should be using the Golf for Bovington but still waiting for the new AVO monotube dampers for the front, if they don't come in time to be fitted then the Astra will be ready.
For the first time in the five years I've rallied it, the Astra will have a SUMPGUARD! It is being specially made as I could not find anyone making them for the mk2 any more, and together with a bottom suspension brace and poly bushes fitted to the bottom arms should improve the handling and possibly help us get around the corners a (little) bit quicker.
Really looking forward to my first stage rally of the year!

I loved Bovington last year, although I'm sure the weather helped !!! It is fast (not as fast as colerne though!) and great fun.
I'll be there servicing for Car 80 - Friends that I go to Rally GB (and other events) with, they have been doing Enduro events up until now (they did Exmoor) but also last year did the Richard Burns Rally. They've now "up'ed the spec of their rover 214" and are taking it Single Venue rallying this year and I'll be helping them out as much as possible. We'll try to park up in Service with all Tavern Crews together as I'm sure my guys will appreciate the support and advice !
