Several crews out on the Woodpecker on 4 September............Space for one more car on our stand at the Rally Day at Castle Combe on 18 September........3 track sessions for sale as well..................
I know there were a few people planning on a trip up to the Jim Clark for some closed roads rallying. For your info the regs and entry forms are on the website.
Accommodation is hard to find, so get your skates on!
maybe next year.....
Out on the 1000 lanes that weekend now Marshalling / helping look after Walters.
We'll be there
Found a great cottage last year so have booked it again this year. This really is one amazing rally and my favourite within the BRC.
Only a few weeks to go until this one! Still lots to do on the Nova after the Pirelli but we'll be there and ready to see if the upgrades to the suspension over the winter were worth it.
Seeding has been released for this one. Kit and Tim are 32 in the international field and look set to have a long a tough event ahead of them!
We'll be leading the challenge rally away and I cannot wait now!
The organisers have added a slip/merge into the Eccles stage which should be an awesome spectacle for the speccies, but may be interesting for us competing! The lanes are pretty tight up there so hopefully the timings won't bring us out right behind another competitor!!!!
I think the merge is onto the main road? But after that, yes, you'd be pretty stuffed if you get caught behind a slower car.
It's not the long tough day that bothers me, it's late tough night!
Oh bugger!
A broken clutch for Will & Julian and a broken drive shaft for us made it a long trip North for nothing for the Tavern contingent.
Absolutely loved everything we did, Abbey St Bathan in the dark is just awesome - I had trouble speaking quick enough to get some of the notes out at times. 15 miles with everything in it, just following the spotlights through twisty technical bits, fast open sections, twisty blind brows, a flat out sweeping blast along the main road, hordes of spectators & doesn't it do the ego good when you catch the car in front! Mind you, the old sphinctor clenches when you have your head buried in the notes and Kit says "oops" as the car slide wide and I look up to see us heading for a big drop!
Doing 3 stages of the recce with the Audi in safe mode after the engine management lights came on was interesting (we had 4 warning lights on at one point) and the new hydraulic handbrake on the Fiesta is effective - we nearly did a pirouette in Duns as Kit didn't realise how good it would be on tarmac!
We'll be back! (or will it be Belgium or Ireland or the Isle of Man?)
Or all 4 ?????
It would be nice, but time off work is the issue
Rubbish, rubbish, rubbish, rubbish, rubbish!!!!!! That should sum it up!!!
Stage 1 and 2 were AMAZING - In-car is on youtube if anyone wants to take a look.
Stage 3 saw us lose the accelerator pedal as it snapped off the weld!! Then the clutch went bang and that was it. A long way to go for 20 miles!!! There's always next year...
