Please see attached invitation below from Weston Super Mare M.C. to an Autotest on November 4th. We all think we can drive a bit - why not try and prove it by entering an autotest. Standard cars are perfectly acceptable.

Dear Competition Secretary

At our committee meeting last Wednesday, we discussed our recent Autotest event on Weston Airfield and the biggest concern was the same situation that has been seen with a lot of clubs this year, namely very small entries.

So we have made the decision to try and encourage our local neighbours to participate in our events and hopefully you, as one of our neighbours, will reciprocate. If we can start to try and renew interest in Autotesting between us, I am sure we will all benefit. I was reading Autosport the other evening and the article about young James Wozencroft (now a Suzuki works rally driver), who ‘cut his teeth’ on autotesting in 1998/2001 in a Fiesta so I guess it’s not going to damage members’ ‘street cred’ to be seen autotesting! James is only 24 years old now!

Our next event is on Sunday, 4th November on the Airfield and we would like to invite your members to participate under Clubsport and PCA status and the entry fee is only £10.

I am e-mailing this letter and apologise for the very short notice but hope to see at least one or two of your members coming along. Copies of the regulations will be posted on Monday.
