The start will be at The Garage Door People premises in Hutton (W-s-M) and the finish will be at The Carpenters Tavern in Dundry.
This one is organised by Simon and Hugh and any potential competitors and Marshals of course should contact either Simon or Hugh ASAP.
Sorry for the late annoucement but the event has only just been pulled together.
Post code is BS24 9QA so map ref comes out as 172/ 341586
If using sat nav
Hope this is right ???
The reference is right, but its map 182!
Did it happen ?
Who did what?
Fingers crossed, I'll soon be back in Bristol so will be able to come out and play more !
Many thanks to Simon and Hugh for an excellent event. A fab route using Cheddar Gorge and the not-as map Burrington Combe together with many of the best yellows in the area.Plenty of water around too.
Route info was 'interesting' to plot although trying to get the herringbone plotted whilst tearing up the Gorge gave me the queasies (even in a 1.4 Astra!) and I quickly decided it would be better to pull over for a few minuites once we got to the top before sorting out where to go next! The last section of clockfaces - 'as seen by the driver when sat at the junction' - I found quite difficult, and as my stomach was still a little unsettled by the time we got to Chew Stoke I decided to take a quick route to the finish and hence we missed PC6.
Thanks also to all those who marshaled, and congrats to JD and Alex on 1st overall.
Yes, good event.
Subaru is not the ideal 12 car vehicle being automatic and rather soft suspension. There was a strong smell of hot brakes every time we stopped at a control!
Just got pipped by JD & Alexis.
