Dave and i had entered Caerwent but have pulled entry and the car is going on a rolling road to set the new engine up instead.

I think we have lost the chance of CMSG class win which we were leading(go Steve C bring it home)so dont know what we are doing next Smeatharpe,Tricky,Longcross or next year!

Spectating wise i may go to Epynt for Mewla and possibly the Woodpecker and marshalling on WRGB or i might go and watch this year instead if i speak to Lee first.

Rally Yorkshire, Bulldog then that's probably it for this year.

Not marshalling on WRGB, I've got the hump with them. Date for next year looks OK, they had better not change it again.......

Woodpecker then that's that for rallies this year

Wanted to do Trackrod but it clashes with Denises family thing.

Castle Combe and then Goodwood Revival the next day.

Then engine out for precationary strip and check over.  Can't be too careful after 2 engine blow ups.  Hopefully fitting a new diff during the winter, 6.1:1 ratio.  Blimey!!!  This will reduce max speed from 122mph to 107mph and hopefully make it a bit easier to drive.  Maybe I'll get it into 3rd and 4th gear a bit more often, get round some corners in 2nd instead of 1st and try 5th gear on a stage for the first time.

Rally GB - may watch, may marshal, may not bother but it will only be Saturday and Sunday as I have run out of holiday.

So what are others up to for the remainder of the year? I think it's a shame that Smeatharpe has been cancelled-always a good laugh for the end of the year. Im back for the Tempest in 3 weeks and looking forward to it.....but;

How about a Tavern MC go-kart challenge?? Who'd be up for it? Surely we could get a good number of people along? Or maybe we use this to reach out to future club members- for example, minimum of 1 person per team MUST be a member of the club-so they all bring a couple of mates (if you have any!!!) and we all compete, and if they enjoy it they may attend club one night just as we're all renewing our memberships??? Surely its worth a go?

What are your thoughts??

No more competing for us this year... I'm out with the Stage Team on Rheola for WRGB again this year (Setting up during the preceeding week, probably "Start Control" on Rheola on Recce Day, probably marshalling at Walters Arena on Friday night, set up on Sat and Mid Point Safety Radio on Rheola on the Sunday).

Also out servicing with Steve on the Cambrian for a friend of mine in an EVO6....

Karting night sounds like a good idea, have discussed this on a club night with Jim etc before so I'm sure there could be more takers....

Should be joining you on the Tempest Will... Need one more Tavern 1400 and see if we can dominate the 1400's!!!
Apart from that watching the Bulldog this weekend, Rally GB, and might possibly be doing Longcross.....

If this Go Karting happens can I bring a mate of mine who races Formula Fords or is that cheating?

Great news on the Tempest Lee.....The aim (obviously) is to beat a certain motorbike ace!!!

Make sure you cheer on Dan Corner this weekend on the Bulldog- running car 80ish- can't remember exactly which number...

I can't see any reason why a formula ford driver would be cheating....we'll just add a bit of weight ballast

I agree with a handicaping system, more ballast for experts and headstart for those already with extra ballast  so I think I should get a headstart ... 2 laps maybe.....

I'd like to but my mate and his driver are in direct competition for the Championship!!
